(2) The articulated frame is adopted. The swing angle of the frame is generally ± 30 °~40 °. The steering system is simple and does not need expensive steering drive axle. It can achieve a small turning radius. Operate the steering wheel to make the frame swing horizontally, so that the forks can be easily aligned with materials. For small tonnage off-road forklifts, an integral frame can be used. The single axle drive and drive axle are equipped with a differential lock.

(3) All wheel braking. Except that small tonnage forklifts adopt expanding shoe brake structure, most of them are caliper disc brakes. Large tonnage forklifts also use wet brakes. Parking brake is generally hand brake.

(4) The front and rear axles of 2t~3t articulated off-road forklift are common.

(5) The rear axle of the off-road vehicle is fixed to the frame, while the front axle can swing ± 8 °~12 ° vertically relative to the frame. A supporting hydraulic cylinder is arranged between the frame and the front axle. When the forklift is lifting, the lifting gantry is kept in a lateral vertical state by manipulating the hydraulic cylinder; When the vehicle is running again, the upper and lower cavities of the hydraulic cylinder are connected through the damping holes to improve the ride comfort of the vehicle.

(6) Large wheel base and track width. Increase the transverse and longitudinal stability of the forklift.

(7) Good mobility. The vehicle speed is generally (30~40) km/h. The dynamic factor is above 0.65, the driving acceleration is good, and the climbing ability is 25 °~30 °

(8) Large gantry inclination. This is necessary for safe operation and driving on uneven ground, generally 10 °~15 ° in the front and 15 ° in the back.

(9) Setting of driver's seat. In order to ensure that the operator has a better view when loading, the driver's seat is generally arranged forward. Articulated forklift shall be placed on the front frame as much as possible. According to different operation requirements, a roof rack type cab with FOPS/ROPS shall be installed.

(10) Traveling system. Similar to loader, there are mechanical transmission (Me), hydraulic shift mechanical transmission (HyC), hydraulic transmission (T/C) and hydrostatic transmission (HYD). The difference is that the full power matching method is adopted, and the heavy load is the full load climbing condition.
